and Fees
All vaccines,
drugs, supplies and health tests that are provided by this Office
will be recharged.
Our
Office will markup the wholesale prices to cover costs of ordering,
inventory, recordkeeping, and disposition of these supplies.
Diagnostic,
necropsy and laboratory work ordered by our veterinary staff will
is supported and paid for by this Office. When this work is ordered
or needed by the research team, it will be the responsibility of
the research team to pay for this work.
The
following fees affect those units in the College of Agriculture
and Home Economics that do not have their own in-house
or contracted veterinary services, i.e. the Swine Center , the EALB
dog and cat colonies, and the Natural Resource Sciences Department.
Veterinary clinical services for these animals should be provided
by clinicians within the Veterinary College. If none are available,
then our Office will provide these services at similar service rates/fees.
Clinical calls for a DVM: $60 minimum and $60 per hour after first
hour. Recheck exams for on-going cases is $30 per visit. Time
rounded off to nearest hour. Time starts when DVM leaves the Office.
This fee covers all exam and procedures. There will be some procedures
like major surgery that will require higher procedure-type fees.
After-hours and emergency calls to these units: $100 minimum and
$100 per hour after the first hour. Time rounded off to nearest
hour. Time starts when DVM leaves home.
The
following fees affect those faculty wanting to transfer ownership
(adopt) to others outside the University. In addition to the
rates stated above for the time involved:
